NO SOLDIERS ON OUR STREETS
The Trump administration is swiftly dismantling our democracy, our Constitution, and the rule of law.
These illegal actions are creating situations that cost the American people dearly. How do we know? Recent polls inform us. What are those concerns and costs?
- Our economy is crashing, with no signs of recovery: Trump tariffs cost Americans billions in taxes. Inflation is rising, making prices higher for all the goods and services we purchase. It’s expected to continue and get worse.
- Cuts to social safety net programs are affecting millions: SNAP and Medicare cuts start this year, with Medicaid cuts in 2026. ACA subsidies expire this year. These cuts, and many more, are due to the Big Bad Billionaires bill passed by Republicans, a budget bill whose tax cuts primarily benefit the wealthy and large corporations at the expense of average Americans.
- Staff cuts at all the departments created by Congress over many decades: In some cases, agencies have been virtually eliminated, leaving only a shell.
- Law-abiding, tax-paying immigrants, who are not criminals, are being deported, often without due process.
The time for action is now.
On October 18th
Demonstrations are planned in all 50 states.
