Card 17: Vision 2029 Postcard

CALLING ALL DEMOCRATS AND INDEPENDENTS

We, the People, say it’s time for a political party that stands for us.

This country needs functional political parties to provide responsible leadership. The Democratic Party’s approval ratings are at an all-time low. Many believe Democrats in Congress lack strong leadership or the courage to stand up to this lawless administration and the GOP.  Some Democrats show resolve, but there is no unified effort at forming an organized coalition to oust MAGA and Project 2025. The DNC continually seeks donations, but it shows no signs of using those funds in innovative ways to reach voters and attract honest and progressive candidates.

  • We, the People, protest across the nation—on the streets, at immigration courts, during ICE raids, and outside congressional offices. We want the DNC to show it’s doing the same: fighting for all Americans.
  • We want democracy, the rule of law, and our Constitution defended. The rights of all people protected. Voting encouraged and expanded. We imagine a new, inclusive vision for the country—a Project 2029.
  • We seek a new generation of responsible, educated candidates with fresh ideas and practical approaches to building our brave new world. What worked yesterday does not work today.

We want Democratic Party leaders to have conversations with us every day, to listen closely, and to help craft a long-term vision for our country that goes well beyond the upcoming election.

We need Bold Leadership!  Step up!

On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump began his first day in office as a dictator, as he had promised, and he has remained a dictator ever since.

The Trump government, in less than a year, has transformed our country into a fledgling authoritarian regime, altering the fundamental principles of our democracy.
