Good morning, Democracy Defenders!
• May 16, 2026Today, we release one of our most crucial cards yet.
On April 29th, the Supreme Court issued a ruling that effectively ended the Voting Rights Act of 1965, allowing states to gerrymander their Congressional and state legislative districts without regard for racial discrimination. This decision delivers a major blow to the principles of ‘free and fair elections’ and balanced representation that we all cherish.
BUT WE ARE NOT DONE! There are actions we can take to oppose this partisan gerrymandering. This card outlines steps each of us can take individually, at the state level, and at the Congressional level. Even those living in Southern states, which are rushing to redraw their maps, can stand against gerrymandering, an issue that is highly unpopular across party lines.
Donald Trump explicitly advocated partisan gerrymandering, confidently claiming that new maps would allow Republicans to dominate elections for the next 50 years. A democracy cannot endure under one-party control, which would turn this country into an autocracy like Russia and Korea. Hungary just ended its autocracy when the opposition party saw 80% of the country’s citizens turn out to vote in its gerrymandered election. IT WORKED. They won it all. We can do this too!
We have a lot of work ahead between now and November, and then on to the 2028 elections if we are to defeat the tyranny of the minority. Again, it will require a united effort from all of us.
Yes, we are asking you to help us help you. Distribute cards widely and share this urgent message. Invite others to spread cards as well. We must unite in the fight to ensure democracy leads us, not a dictator.
Download the free PDF from our website, then print the cards at home or at your preferred print shop. For even more convenience, order as many cards as you like from our printing partner, Howling Print and Promo, by clicking the button on each card page.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Card Campaign is all about educating voters, inspired by the colorful Rainbow Flyers women handed out during FDR’s re-election. Back in 1936, these flyers, created by the Women’s Division of the Democratic National Committee, were printed on brightly colored paper and shared facts about the important achievements of the New Deal in areas such as labor, farming, and Social Security. They made up about 80% of the Democratic campaign materials, helping to inform and engage voters.
Inspired by those colorful rainbow flyers, these cards are friendly, straightforward tools designed to share important information about issues that matter to all of us, no matter where we come from. They’re made to be printed on both sides and can be handed out personally or left in public places for others to find and learn from.
Most of the Card Campaign cards are not postcards and aren’t meant to be mailed. Occasionally, we send postcards to Congress, and they do get mailed, as evidenced by the address side compared to the statement side.
We’re excited to share new cards with you, usually one or two every few weeks! The PDFs are available for free on this website, so you can print them at home or at your favorite print shop. Or, if you prefer, just click the button to order printed cards that will be shipped right to you through our trusted printing partner, Howling Print and Promo.
Our campaign is driven by a dedicated, six-person volunteer team from all over the country, from northern New England to the West Coast. We’re independent and not connected to any political campaign, PAC, or other organization.
